Losing my baby sister.

My sweet baby sister died last year while parked in her car. She was texting in a parking lot on a cold winters night with her windows up and her heating on. She knew not to text and drive. Unfortunately there was a crack in the manifold of her car which leaked carbon monoxide through the vents. My precious little sister fell asleep and woke up in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ.

. . .

I want to share our miracle and our hope in Christ.

Two days after Lyda passed away we believe she visited my brother-in-law in her spiritual body during a dream/vision. Perfect in appearance, golden hair, perfect skin, tall, wearing a bright white robe. Davin describes her as an angel like presence, however we know this as her perfect self in the eyes of the Lord. This has been such a comfort to our family, knowing she’s in the presence of Jesus in our real home- Heaven.

Here it goes:

“ I dreamt of Lydia last night. I had flashbacks of her life but in the dream it was also symbolic of the life of a butterfly.

I watched her as a caterpillar struggling to find food, and being chased by birds. This moment flashed back to some of her daily life struggles like being teased in high school and having a hard time making good friends.

When she had enough, she surrounded her body in a chrysalis to protect herself and I saw flashback of her resting peacefully in her car after she had passed.

Finally, she emerged as a beautiful butterfly, and she spoke to me as herself as almost an angel or something very holy while I was crying reaching to her. And she said, “Please don’t be sad, be happy! A caterpillar was always meant to become a butterfly. I know you dont understand right now but, but im much happier as a butterfly. Thank you for helping me grow my wings.”

And then she faded into a blinding light and then I woke up.

After my mum heard Davin telling her what he just experienced she asked what type of butterfly he saw. He told mum it was the eastern tiger swallowtaill. We then decided to look it up and find out what that butterfly signafies. This is what it says “ The caterpillar represents the earth-bound life, while the pupa represents the tomb and death, while the butterfly itself is the soul, reborn in heaven.”

How incredible is it that God gave us that vision and the comfort it gives our family. How great is Our Lord!! I will praise you in this storm!

Please have your cars checked for carbon monoxide leaks yearly. It’s completely odourless.
